Market live:- Trends on SGX Nifty indicate a flat opening for the broader index in India, with a 3 points loss or 0.02 percent.

Sensex closed 232 points, or 0.57 percent, higher at 41,198.66 while Nifty rose 74 points, or 0.61 percent, to close at 12,129.50. The market is expected to react to F&O expiry, US Fed meeting outcome and earnings of corporates, including Colgate, Dabur, Bajaj Auto, IOC, Marico and Tata Motors.

Asian Markets: – Asian markets fall as the coronavirus creates more economic uncertainty
Asian markets slumped Thursday as the number of coronavirus cases continue to mount, creating uncertainty for the global economy. South Korea’s Kospi (KOSPI) dropped 0.5%, while Japan’s Nikkei 225 (N225) fell 1%. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index (HSI)  which on Wednesday suffered its worst day since August  lost 0.8%.

US Markets: – U.S. Stocks Struggle Near Record; Treasuries Rally. U.S. stocks pared gains and Treasuries climbed after the Federal Reserve signaled it will remain on hold in a highly anticipated decision. After an initial rally, the S&P 500 Index trimmed its advance as Chairman Jerome Powell noted that uncertainties about the outlook remain — including those around the coronavirus and trade. Treasury 10-year yields tumbled below 1.6%, while the dollar was little changed.

European Markets: – European stocks close higher, brushing off coronavirus concerns. European markets closed higher on Wednesday as investors in the region look to brush off concerns about the spread of the China coronavirus.
